Dr Richard Donovan, Interim

UNION BAPTIST CHURCH CALLS INTERIM PASTOR

At a duly called business meeting on January 23rd, Union Baptist Church Pastor Donovan offers his Pastoral Services to any in the community that are without a church home.  Unan-imously voted to call Dr. Richard Donovan as interim pastor.  Pastor Donovan is expected to serve the Lord in that position until the Church calls a pastor.   Pastor Donovan has made it clear that he wants to minister to the hospitalized and to the sick.    He has encouraged the congregation  to call him if they have any spiritual needs.  Pastor Donovan offers his Pastoral Services to any in the community that are without a church home. 

Pastor Donovan was born and raised in Champaign County, OH.  He and his wife, Maxine, have three children, four grandchildren, and four great grand­children, all of whom attend church regularly.

He was ordained in 1959 in Campbellsville, KY and has served five churches during his forty-eight years of pastoral ministry.  Four of these churches were in the Dayton area and one was in Somerset, KY.

Pastor Donovan retired in July, 2007 from the First Baptist Church in Brookville, OH, a Southern Baptist Church, where he enjoyed a twenty-two year ministry.

He has   studied at various schools and holds a Bachelor of Theology, Master of Ministry, and Doctor of Theology degrees.  He has joined in evangelistic campaigns in Taipei, Taiwan,  San Andres, (Colombia, SA), Alaska, and in Helsingborg, Sweden

            Union Baptist Church eagerly anticipates serving the Lord under the leadership of Pastor Richard  Donovan. Union Baptist Church is located at 528 North Main Street in Englewood, and gives a special invitation to all without a Church home to visit.  Sunday service times are 10:30 am and 6:00 pm.  Wednesday night prayer is at 7:00pm.
